The Reindeer Ranch sits in Kilpisjärvi, at the far northwest tip of Finnish Lapland, where the borders of Norway and Sweden meet. It is the home of Sámi herders Mia and Niti, who open their land and way of life to a small number of guests at a time rather than running the property as a conventional hotel.

The landscape is open Arctic tundra, treeless fells, frozen lakes and reindeer moving freely across the land, in one of the least-visited corners of Lapland.
Eight bedrooms: a lakeside chalet and four glass igloos
The property is taken on an exclusive-use basis for up to sixteen guests, spread across a newly built lakeside chalet and four private glass igloos. The chalet, completed in September 2025, holds four bedrooms, two ensuite rooms with king-size beds and two twin rooms, along with a fireplace and a private sauna.

Each of the four glass igloos is a self-contained unit with a queen bed and ensuite bathroom, positioned to frame the Arctic sky and built with the Northern Lights in mind.
Dining: gathered around the fire
The chalet's fully equipped kitchen and live-edge dining table anchor group meals, with catering available on request alongside the property booking.
The lounge-kota, a separate circular timber building with an open central fireplace, gives a second, more atmospheric setting for dinners and evening gatherings, with the Arctic landscape visible through the surrounding windows.
