About Teranka
A place of safe anchor on Formentera’s southern shore.
Teranka sits on Playa Migjorn, one of Formentera’s most unspoilt stretches of coast, 150 metres from the sea. 35 rooms and suites are divided across three buildings, Mar, Tierra and Cielo, each with its own relationship to the landscape. The hotel’s name stems from the words tierra and ancla, meaning land and anchor.

Two intimate treatment rooms in the Mar building offer a curated menu of massages, facials and bodywork using oils from the island. Outdoor yoga, guided meditation and an open-air gym sit within the pine and juniper landscape.

Island ingredients, open skies.
The Garden restaurant on the ground floor draws on fresh island produce with hints of Middle Eastern influence. The rooftop bar serves tapas, sushi and cocktails above the pine canopy, with poolside and in-room dining rounding out the offer.

Teranka sits on the southern part of Formentera on Playa Migjorn, a 6km stretch of protected coastline backed by pine forest. La Mola, the island’s highest point, rises to the east.

Formentera rewards those who move through it slowly. Guided cycling and hiking routes skirt juniper forests, fishing villages and whitewashed lighthouses. On the water, paddle boarding, kayaking and yacht hire open up hidden coves along the coast.
