Inside the Wellness Suites at MANNA Arcadia: A Forest Spa in the Peloponnese | OffTheGrid Travel
Wellness Travel · Arcadia, Greece · Spa & Retreats
We are asked often which mountain properties actually justify a dedicated wellness trip, rather than simply having a spa attached to a hotel. MANNA Arcadia is one of the clearest answers we can give, its Wellness Suites built entirely around the Arcadian Ideal, a life lived in coexistence with nature.
The philosophy: coexistence with nature, treatment by treatment
MANNA's Wellness Suites take their cue from the forest around them. Treatments are developed in partnership with CODAGE Paris, pairing natural ingredients with clean, advanced formulations, and every session opens with a signature Arcadian Forest Welcome Touch and closes with a choice of tea ceremony. Two treatment rooms keep the experience intimate rather than clinical.
The Cave Pool, a forest sauna, and a 24-hour gym
At the centre of the facilities sits the Cave Pool, an enclosed pool built into the property's original stone, alongside a sauna and steam room set directly within the forest. A specialist gym, equipped for gentle exercise, stays open around the clock, and yoga and meditation sessions are held by the fireplace indoors or outdoors in the trees, depending on the weather and the season.
Key facilities:
- Cave Pool
- Sauna and steam room within the forest
- Two treatment rooms
- 24-hour gym
- Daily yoga and meditation, indoors by the fireplace or outdoors in the forest
Spa opening hours run Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 to 19:00 and Friday to Saturday from 11:00 to 21:00, with the gym accessible at any hour.
Two signature retreats: a cocooning massage and a sleep ritual
Two programmes anchor the retreat offering. The 'M-Anna-Mother' Cocooning Massage and Wrap runs 75 minutes and takes its name from a nurse who served in the First World War, opening with a full-body massage before a warm body wrap that nourishes and detoxifies, and closing with a head massage designed to release deep-seated tension. The 'Hypnos' Sleep Serenity Ritual takes a different pace entirely, two full days given over to rest, moving guests gradually from arrival to genuine stillness through an aromatherapy mountain massage, a body wrap, a full-body massage, a pro-age facial and a head massage, each stage building on the last. Both retreats are quoted on a bespoke basis and subject to availability.
Frequently asked questions
What makes the spa at MANNA Arcadia different from a typical hotel spa?
In our experience, the difference is the philosophy behind it. Rather than a generic treatment menu, every session at MANNA is built around the Arcadian Ideal, developed with CODAGE Paris and framed by a forest welcome ritual and a closing tea ceremony that most hotel spas simply do not offer.
Do we need to book a full wellness retreat, or can we use the spa on a day basis?
Guests staying at the hotel on a standard room booking already have complimentary access to the Cave Pool, forest sauna and 24-hour gym as part of every room category. The 'M-Anna-Mother' and 'Hypnos' programmes sit alongside this as bespoke, bookable retreats for guests who want a more structured wellness journey.
What is the Cave Pool, and is it open to all guests?
The Cave Pool is one of MANNA's signature wellness facilities, an enclosed pool built into the property's original stone structure. It is included as standard for every guest staying at the hotel, alongside the forest sauna, steam room and gym.
