Chalet Utsu, Levi Reviewed: A Private Luxury Arctic Chalet in Finland | OffTheGrid Travel
Luxury Travel · Levi, Finland · Private Chalet
At OffTheGrid Travel, we look for properties that give a group complete privacy without asking them to compromise on comfort. Chalet Utsu does exactly that, a five-bedroom chalet set above the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, built entirely for exclusive use. You can find it in our collection.
A private chalet in Utsuvaara, on the slopes of Levi fell
Chalet Utsu is a privately operated chalet in Utsuvaara, Levi, set across 300 square metres and available exclusively for private use. The setting is deliberately remote, far enough from artificial light to make the chalet a genuine base for watching the Northern Lights, with Kittilä Airport 15 minutes away and the Levi ski slopes five minutes away.
Blue hour over the fell, seen from inside the chalet.
It is designed for travellers who value discretion and space, arriving to a house rather than a hotel room, with Helsinki an hour away by air for guests wanting to combine the trip with time in the capital.
Five bedrooms across three floors, built for undisturbed rest
Five bedrooms are arranged across three floors, each fitted with custom Unikulma beds, a tailored mattress and pillow menu, and bed linen, towels and slippers by Balmuir.
The master bedroom is the standout, a super king-size bed, ensuite bathroom and its own fireplace, and twin configurations are available in every other room, making the layout equally suited to couples, families or a group of friends travelling together.
Exclusive use of the chalet includes final cleaning, firewood and all bath amenities as standard.
Dining: a private chef, your table, your menu
Every meal at Chalet Utsu is prepared in the chalet itself by a private chef, working from a fully equipped Gaggenau kitchen. Menus are tailored entirely to the group, from a quiet family dinner to a longer table for a milestone celebration, with no restaurant booking or fixed sitting to plan around. Sustainability runs through the sourcing as well as the setting, with local suppliers and a community-first approach guiding what reaches the table.
